When are my Photos Ready?
Thank you for your patience as we work to serve you. Please be aware that during our peak seasons, wait times may be longer than expected. We appreciate understanding and are committed to providing you with the best service possible
To understand the wait time, you also need to understand the business. We dedicate several hours a day during week days to edit our clients work, we also allocate some of our working day to address other aspects of the business such as communications with our clients, new bookings, attending appointments & photo sessions as well as handling passports and attending to visitors. We also dedicate a portion of our daily routine to photograph our scenery photos in mornings and evenings for our social media channels & canvas's. These photos are also important revenue streams for our business as it helps us maintain up to date product for our store gallery.
As a photographer, sometimes rare acts of nature create an event where we want to witness and photograph such as an Auroras, rainbows, Foggy mornings, an Astrophotography event, sunrise & sunsets, fall colors, and winter wonderlands.
We also attend all the City Council meetings and City Committee meetings in the evenings they are booked as we are the videographer for the live feed.
One other aspect of the business is we are the team photographer for the Elliot Lake Vikings and cover all the home games from September to March when ever they are booked.
We understand that you are excited to receive your photos! And we are trying our best to get them to you!
Normally it is roughly 2 weeks to receive photos. But during fall season we have an overwhelming number of clients who book with us from mid September to early November. Besides the Fall photo clients, we still have maternity, newborn, engagements, headshots & passport bookings. Wedding season runs all summer long and can build up in our books by the time October hits. We try to finish our late summer / early fall wedding packages at the same time we are editing our fall photo sessions so its kind of back-and-forth.
We are very fortunate here at Northern Exposures Photography to be involved in so many forms of photography locally, and to be able to continue to serve our community the way we do! We appreciate everyone's support and patience!
Below we have made a chart to show our clients where we are with post-production. We list the date we are currently editing without revealing any of our clients names.
Weddings (includes Eloping bookings) Have one list while Photo sessions (family, baby, maternity, couples) have another. Real Estate and Passports are time sensitive and will not be part of the list. Passports are delivered on the spot when you come in the studio, and real estate is moved ahead of photo sessions so that the listing is not waiting on us. The order of photo sessions is also based on when payment is received in full. If you have not paid your session in full, you are not in line yet. If your paid-in-full date is after your session date, your payment date is what you need to watch for on the chart below. All photo sessions and weddings must be paid in full before post-production begins. Payment can be made in cash, EMT, Debit or Credit. We carry a portable debit machine to jobs if anyone needs it.
